Q: Do I need a drum-set to start?

A: No. The first month or so of lessons can be done with a pair of sticks and a practice pad. After that, a drum-set will be necessary.

Q: Do you sell drums? 

A: No. However, I will be there to advise you as you go through the process of purchasing a drum-set. 

Q: Is there an alternative to traditional drums that are really loud?

A: Yes. Digital drums are a much quieter, affordable option. 

Q: Do I need experience to start?

A: No. Experience is not necessary to start learning to play.

Q: Am I too old to start drumming?

A: No. I have a student who is 80 years old and doing great. It is never too late to start. 

Q: How young do students start?

A: 7 years old is a good time to start lessons, but some kids start even younger. 

Q: How often are lessons and for how long?

A: Lessons are 30 minutes on a weekly basis.

Q: How long does it take to get good at drums?

A: If someone really works hard, they can get decent in about 6 months.

Q: How much is a student supposed to practice?

A: I recommend short spurts of practice for 5 to 10 minute intervals for effective absorption of the material and improvement.

Q: Is there an enrollment fee?

A: No. Never.

Q: Is there a contract to sign?

A; No. Never.
